‘Inflation – don’t watch the clock’
Speaker: James Klempster of Momentum Global Investment Management
Timing: 12 for 12.30pm - Close at 2 pm
Venue:Hard Days Night Hotel, 41 North John Street, Liverpool, L2 6RR
This educational structured CPD presentation will explore the effects of inflation and how it can be beaten in the long term.
Inflation is inherently unpredictable in the short term - the investment clock has not proven its worth but beating inflation over the long term is achievable with most asset classes so long as you have a suitable time horizon. James will explore this challenge and how it can be addressed.
Momentum Global Investment Management was established in London in 1998 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of MMI Holdings which is a large South-African based insurance company. As at 31st December 2013, MGIM managed £3.3bn for institutional and retail investors around the world. MGIM offers multi-asset solutions for financial advisers in the UK, South Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and multi-asset solutions, African focused solutions and single asset class funds for global institutional investors.
James is the lead portfolio manager of a large range of Momentum’s retail multi asset funds including the Factor Series fund range. James joined MGIM in 2007. In addition to this James co-manages Momentum’s flagship institutional multi asset funds. James sits on the MGIM Investment Strategy Group.
