Event description
The webinar will consider how cashflow projections can illustrate the potential financial outcomes from different scenarios.

About this Event

COVID-19 has resulted in unprecedented challenges for Museums and Galleries, both operationally and financially. How can we utilise the financial planning tools at our disposal to enable informed decisions to be taken about surviving the current situation, charting the way to reopening and recovery, and pursuing sustainability in a world of uncertainty?

What are the most significant risks and how should we deal with them? What sources of information should Museums and Galleries be considering to address optimism bias, measure risk and develop appropriate mitigation strategies?

The webinar will consider how cashflow projections can illustrate the potential financial outcomes from different scenarios, assess risk and uncertainty, and assist decision making. It will consider what assumptions are valid and helpful.

There is no universal template or formula to help sites decide when and how to open. There is however an approach which allows each site to consider the variables in terms of user group demand, operating costs and income potential that will influence decisions about future operations.

A key part of the webinar will be to share problems and consider approaches that can be used to address them.
