  • Those who are already qualified teachers or working in organisations engaged in education who want to further their skills, knowledge and understanding.
  • Current Birmingham City University students from any discipline who have an interest education or teacher training. Many degrees provide the skills and experience you need to teach, particularly at Post-Compulsory Education and Training level. We also offer Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses in a range of areas.

Why attend a Postgraduate drop-in event?

You can have one-to-one conversations with academic staff to help you choose the course that is right for you and ask questions you may have about course delivery, placements and the right path for your career in education and teaching.

Our Master’s courses can be studied part-time and you may wish to only study modules individually as part of your continuing professional development. This is an ideal opportunity to discuss your interests and options with academic staff.

You can also find out about our new learning facilities and resources, part of our £41 million expansion of the University’s City South Campus in Edgbaston.
