The plaster life and death masks in the Noel Collection were gathered in mid-19th Century Dresden to illustrate ‘good’ and ‘bad’ types of people. Nick Shepley and Carole Reeves draw upon their different academic backgrounds – English Literature and History of Medicine – to create two themes for one exhibition. Follow one or both or make your own interpretation.
UCL Museums curator Nick Booth will be on hand to discuss the collection and present recent research into this unusual collection.
