Find your INNER BLISS (1-day workshop)
Sat 7 January 2017, 10:00 – 15:00 GMT
Find your INNER BLISS!
This special day of therapeutic Body Mind / Breath Energy work will focus on:
* Yin/Yang Balance
* Breath Work
* Energy Vitality
* Postural Alignment
Ilkley Tai Chi is very excited to offer you this amazing 1-day workshop in Ilkley - led by Dr Alex Boyd - for the first time to help you align and allow your inner radiance to shine!
You'll be exercising your Body Mind / Energy Breath through an ancient Chinese Daoist Yin/Yang system called Lishi. This is a system of meditation in movement, a physical expression of Daoist philosophy and a proven way to have fun, get fitter, become healthier and gain more confidence. It builds a toned body and a calm, strong spirit for enhanced well-being.
You'll start the day with a Qi bath (freeing all the main joints) and a Qi wash (energy self-massage) to open and activate followed by slow (Yin) meditative movements such as Kaimen – Chinese ‘Open Door’ Yoga that help to cultivate, store and harness qi energy as well as faster (Yang) movements such as Fengshou ‘Hand of the Wind’ that will teach you how to direct and utilise your energy using martial theatre games. Through Qigong and Daoyin (Breath Energy) exercises you will learn how your natural energy ('chi' or 'qi') is the fuel that you use to turn intention into action. 'Learn to live your dreams rather than dream your life'.
By regenerating, activating and harmonising your inner energies you will experience INNER PEACE, BLISS and AWE through expanding the awareness and consciousness that connecting your inner and outer worlds fulfils.
This workshop is suitable for all levels and no previous experience of Lishi is required! We are family friendly and kids over the age of 7 are welcome IF they are able to focus and join in with a parent or guardian.
We have a limited number of tickets available so purchase your ticket in advance to guarantee a place and to avoid disappointment.
