What is ‘Ikigai’?

It is a Japanese concept where your passion, mission, vocation and profession come together. To better understand Ikigai, an illustration with four overlapping circles of the Venn diagram was created, and they represent:

• What you love

• What you are good at

• What the world needs

• What you could be paid for

In the middle where these four circles meet, is where the ‘ikigai’ lies.

How to find your ‘Ikigai’?

The first step in finding your Ikigai is to begin where you are now in your life and, look within. Discovering your Ikigai takes honesty, refection and willingness to change.

While completing the diagram, you need to get clear on what really motivates you, once you do that you will be able to connect with your ikigai and explore your purpose and identity.

I invite you to explore this concept of purpose through a systemic dynamic exercise. You will be able to experience each of the four components and take the necessary steps to live your life fully.

Through systemic work you will be able to accommodate the vibes, emotions, thoughts and actions that will help you connect with your own resources.

I will be guiding your journey step by step until the end where you will be able to craft your Ikigai by making it a verb and placing it into a sentence, this will be different for each one of you and the goal is this sentence contain your life passion.

Through this experimental workshop I encourage you to let your self-doubts and fears at the door and embrace your creative self with curiosity.

About the facilitator:

Ioana is originally from Romania and lived in London where she trained as a counsellor and family constellation facilitator, currently she is based in London and Doha. She is an experienced integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Also, she is fascinated and passionate about accompanying people and organizations in fulfilling their visions and concerns. In everything she does, she looks for connections because the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives.

Ioana’s training and education involves CBT, MBT, EMDR- flash technique, NVC- Restorative Circles, IoPT, IFS, Family Constellations, Hypno-Constellations, Trauma-Constellations, Silva Life System, Yagerian Therapy, Advanced Self Hypnosis, Inner child healing and Advanced Shadow Work.

I have studied and participated in many international workshops.
