Essentially in life, at home, in business - we all want to be heard & understood. Harness the power of Speaking in this powerful session!

About this event

Forging People is the home of Transformational Speaking Coaching.

Founded by leading Inspirational Speaker, Nick Elston (, Forging People was created to empower people to truly be heard personally, professionally - even in your relationships.

As Nick himself says "Your ability to deliver any message with clarity, power and emotion will have an ultimately defining impact on YOUR success by YOUR definition!"

Speaking is life, Speaking is education, Speaking is leadership, Speaking is business - so, are YOU truly being heard?

After a lifetime of Mental Illness, Mental Health challenges , crippling Anxiety and being an introvert himself, Nick developed his programmes, tools and techniques to not just manage anxiety and nerves, but to harness that energy and use it as a catalyst to truly step up!

Nick now delivers Keynote Talks worldwide, to audiences of thousands and now he is here to help YOU!

Through workshops, seminars, webinars and stage events - delivered globally to businesses, organisations, education, government/civil service, prison and reform and industry conferences - Nick's powerful learnings always create the desired positive impact for all attendees - no matter where they are or what their 'why' is.

Nick is regularly featured in the global media, writes for leading publications and is considered a leader in his space.

Forging People is where Speaking Coaching meets Personal Development meets Mental Health - our events are designed to create high positive impact, inspire, boost confidence and exploring our potential in a safe space with likeminded people.

"In life we can either let our adversities, our challenges and our fear define us negatively for the rest of our days - or we can choose for them to forge something better, forge something beautiful, forge something powerful - something that wouldn't of existed without that's what you do next that counts."

"Bruised not broken"

I have been bruised, shaped, and dented. Beaten, heartbroken, and defeated.

But I have learnt that what I once saw as an ugliness, a Pandora's box of guilt, a bucket of shame, is actually only a part of me. Not my summary.

Life is hard.

The struggle is real and no one is immune.

We are made to feel, to hurt, to laugh, to heal.

Life is perfectly imperfect.

Share my journey and listen to how I learnt to speak openly without fear of judgement, letting the corners of my soul see the light.

About Heidi

"I am an AET Trainer, IQA and MHFA instructor.

I have a background in the world of Executive Sport and Sales Management with a passion for supporting others and driving change. I have worked in the Retail, Sales, Charity, Wholesale, Care and Sport sectors, managing a diverse range of staff in my career which has included volunteers and executive personnel.

I get a buzz from developing those around me and aiding others to grow and reach their potential. In my previous roles I was known as the go-to person if you needed a problem tackling or an idea brought to reality.

I have lived a lot of lives in my years, faced challenges that have taken me to the edge of my own mental health. I believe this allows me to empathise with those around me and show how you can thrive through adversity.

I am a wife to my incredible partner, a mother to two children, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a gardener, and a cake-eating fiend!"

"Vulnerability – face the stigma and embrace its power"

How many times have you been afraid of your own self and inner feelings - Ever felt incapacitated by guilt, anger, confusion and self hate - Have you ever felt like your soul has been ripped from your body???

I have!

Darkness led to the discovery of my own shadow. This provided me with an opportunity to dislike myself - somewhere in the chaos came a source or ignition and the vulnerability gave me the fuel to create a blaze and start again.

About James

"I am a qualified, integrative counsellor based in Bristol. I have a background in the construction industry but have been actively involved in the Mental Health sector for many years. I have experience in teams, leadership, project management and design but my passion and desire is empowering others to enable them to fly!

I am a married father of 3 children, have a keen interest in sport (especially rugby) and enjoy an active and varied lifestyle. I have considerable life experience and this keeps me grounded and humble."
