Will I have to participate (ie, stand up and speak)

The short answer, yes! Be assured there will be exercises beforehand helping us reach a point of being able to stand up to speak. However, you are always free to choose to participate or not. You will gain much more from joining in and I have every confidence you will feel safe to do so by the end.

Do I need public speaking experience to attend

Not at all. Come as you are! Everyone starts from their own starting point.

Led by Theresa Ribeiro, a biligual celebrant these past four years. She has been a guest on various podcasts, told her life story on BBC radio Cumbria, has been a previous Toastmasters Vice President / secretary and co-host of an online weekly co-working space for women.

Through hands-on exercises and supportive coaching, in a small group, you'll learn skills and techniques on how to overcome anxiety with your public speaking. You'll be able to take the skills learnt in the workshop and apply them to everyday life.
