Transfigure the Ordinary

Often, it's the abandoned or overlooked facets of our environment that provoke the most intrigue. This workshop aims to draw out your curiosity around these everyday oddities and broken bits lying around.

From Observation to Creation

Together, we will dive into the alluring world of found objects, initiating conversations around their intriguing hidden narratives and their potential for transformation and connection.

Engage in:

  • Group Creativity: Work in intimate teams to experiment with paper cut-outs, donating a nod to Matisse's style.
  • Rapid Sketches: Quick observational sketches of these objects will breathe life into coloured paper, offering a vibrant backdrop to the line drawings.

A Tapestry of Endeavours

Participants will:

  • Draft up to four line drawings of discovered objects on coloured papers.
  • Use your creation to forge a 2D to 3D metamorphosis.
  • Discover patterns bursting with colour.
  • Together, erect a collaborative installation.
  • Document your masterpiece through photography.

Submerge in the intriguing transformation of ordinary to extraordinary, and let your creativity unfold into an array of compelling patterns and sculptures.
