Event description

Description

Our new training provides a thought provoking session. It explores the relationship between the adult and child, specifically around emotional wellbeing. We consider how mindfulness can deepen the bond between a child and their key person. This full day’s training involves exploring the science around the mind, considers the adult role and provides understanding of how we ‘tune into children’. We look at self-regulation and how we can encourage reflection in children. You will be given strategies and activities that you can use in your provision.

Aims

To enhance understanding and practitioner confidence in supporting children’s emotional development

To provide a deeper understanding of attachment and the role of the practitioner

To explore practical strategies that can promote self-regulation and mindfulness

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session you will be

  • Confident in providing a nurturing emotional environment
  • Guided to recognise and respond to the emotional needs of the individual child
  • Prepared with practical strategies that support mindfulness and self-regulation
  • Capable of acknowledging the importance of reflective practice and how this impacts provision
