‘God is both good and rather surprising’ says Steve Coneys, our guest speaker at this year’s Parish conference in the Autumn. Over the course of 3 stimulating sessions, let’s gather and discover together what God might be up to in our churches and communities across Ashford.
Reflecting on what it means to notice and name the ministry of Jesus amongst us, Steve C. will open our conference by sharing from his extensive experience in our Diocese, inspiring us to spot the signs of God’s Kingdom on our doorstep.
Revd. Dr Steve Horne will then lead us in a fascinating workshop about the ‘Quiet Revival’, the very latest research from national church about a new extraordinary move of God in the ordinary places. Hearing from some of our younger church members, we’ll find out what brought them to faith.
Our final session will be led by Revd. Canon Dr Jeremy Worthen on how we might play our part in noticing and naming the Spirit’s movement across our parish. How do we expect, pray and prepare for the quiet revival in Ashford? This will be an interactive session in small groups within our church communities.
Do sign up for this year’s exciting Parish Conference and be part of what the Lord is doing in our town and enjoy fellowship over a light lunch afterwards.
