Event description

Description

  • Do you feel like work has overtaken your life and you are reaching or have reached overwhelm with ‘no time for me’ anymore?

  • Are there conditions at work or at home that are overcrowding your mind so much that you can’t think clearly and feel lost?

  • Have you had to go through a significant life event such as losing a job, moving house or getting divorced, which is playing out in your life with panic attacks, headaches and feelings of nausea?

If you can relate to any of the above listed points and want some relief from it all – find where you are within yourself and how to get to the ‘real’ you again…get out of that place of stress, confusion and feelings of loss of identity– then read on. This may be just the ticket for you!

During this workshop, Susanne helps you to wind down, learn how to become really mindful and express yourself creatively without having to talk about your inner issues. She guides you to re-connection with your inner being in a way you may not have given yourself the time for or the path to follow before. Understanding where you are within yourself at this time; ‘remembering’ who you ‘really’ are; identifying your uniqueness, your commonalities with others, your qualities and what you value most about yourself.

We are all born with a unique ‘blue-print’ and during the course of ‘growing up’, our identity and recognition of that goes through many changes – influenced by our parents and other family members, peers, authoritative figures we look up to and everything that surrounds us.

It is our ‘absorption’ of all this that defines who we become. Amidst these different stages and pressures in life, we go through periods where we feel we have lost our original identity – the person and spirit we came on this earth to be. This ‘loss’ is not always easily identifiable and shows itself in different ways – oftentimes through dis-ease, symptoms of anxiety, and emotional turmoil.

You will be able to release ‘stuff’ without having to talk about personal issues amongst a small group of people in a supportive, comfortable and safe environment.

You will develop the ability to better ‘notice what you are noticing’ and change emotional state when you need to. Three simple steps can make all the difference!

This workshop will also teach you how to use each of your senses to put new meaning to your different emotional states, so that you can play them out creatively when you ‘set a time’ to do so.

The creative process taps into our subconscious in a way we just can’t do when we are talking. Combined with the other elements which include meditation and coaching by association...the experience and results can be quite profound, creating a greater sense of identity again, self-esteem, peace and joy.

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF THIS?

  • De-stress and re-connect with who I am

WHAT THE WORKSHOP ENTAILS

The first half of the workshop focuses on the theme with a story or excerpt from one; discussion on the concept of that and related perceptions and emotions and an introduction to mindfulness with an exercise that instils feeling of peace and tranquillity within you.

A fifteen – twenty-minute refreshment break is then followed by a guided meditation taking you on a journey to find you or the new you and this leads into expressive art to music.

This workshop is one of six sessions. A programme to express emotions and thoughts through creative means, learn new ways of finding freedom within again and be on the road to lasting change.

Each workshop in the series can be a ‘stand-alone’ and has great value in its own right. Together with the others, it can be part of a progressive course that will take you much further along the path to creating freedom within yourself.

Whichever you choose…whether to partake in just one; choose from the different themes or do the whole course is dependent on how much change you want to effect in your life.
