Event description
Webinar for scientists who want to know how to easily find images for talks, websites, or other science communication materials.

About this Event

To mark the upcoming launch of Share Your Sci, this FREE webinar will teach scientists the ins and outs of using images in their talks, websites and other materials.

When you’re creating slides for a talk or preparing content for a website, sometimes you need to use an image that isn’t your own. A scientific diagram, an image from someone else’s research paper, a historic photo, or just something to spruce up your slides.

But which images can you include in your work? What happens if your talk is shared online? What are the different creative commons licenses? Where can you find scientifically relevant stock images? How can you find the source or creator of an image?

Sign up for this 30-minute webinar to find out the answers to all of these questions.

Presenter

Dr Eva Amsen is a London-base science communicator and writer with over a decade of experience working with publishers, academic institutes, and other organisations. She understands the challenges researchers face when it comes to finding time to do anything not directly related to research. Eva created the Share Your Sci website as a way to help scientists navigate the field of science communication to find the information that’s relevant to them.
