Would you like to share your experiences and explore potential solutions to Food Poverty in Shropshire?

Throughout 2018 the Shropshire Food Poverty Alliance are working to develop an Action Plan to address Food Poverty in our county.

This is one of four workshops we are running across the county in June.

We want to talk to as many people and organisations as possible to collect your views on how we can improve the situation.

If you represent an organisation which works with people who experience Food Poverty, or have experienced Food Poverty yourself then please join us for this morning workshop.

The aims of the workshop are:

• To share our research - what is currently happening within Shropshire and across the UK?
• To share experiences of food poverty - what can we learn from each other?
• To develop consensus on the solutions - what ideas and inspiration can we share?
• To develop a strong network of people and organisations who can work together to address Food Poverty
• To develop an Action Plan for the future

Discussion sessions will focus on:

• How we can improve access to affordable food
• How we can increase people's skills and confidence in nutrition, budgeting and cooking
• How we can better support people in food crisis

Alternative workshop sessions will be held in Shrewsbury on the 13th June, Wem on the 14th June and Shrewsbury on the 21st.
