Description

PLEASE NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances this event will be postponed and re-arranged for November (Date TBC). We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but we hope to see you in November.

Finding the space to be me: supporting LGBT homeless youth

With 20-40% of homeless youth identifying as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and or/Transgender (LGBT) it is important to provide support that is tailored towards, and inclusive of, LGBT youth. Featuring the launch of new research on supporting LGBT homeless youth, workshops, talks and Q&As, this event is an opportunity for those working with homeless youth to learn more about supporting LGBT youth.

This event is jointly organised by the researcher (Philip Mullen) and staff from The Albert Kennedy Trust (www.akt.org.uk). The event takes place in the Postgraduate Training Room of the Daysh Building at Newcastle University (the Daysh building is just across the road from the Hancock Museum).

A free lunch will be provided between 12pm and 1pm and workshops will take place between 1pm and 4pm.

If you have any questions about the event please email philip.mullen@durham.ac.uk and we look forward to seeing you at the event!
