Event description

Description

Identify the needs of your organisation and deliver on stakeholder expectations

'There's stories in that there data' - or so says Krystyna Gadd.
She's a former engineer and a data geek who'll show you how to mine* your data without even knowing any maths.

Would you like to be able to collect data and do this 'learning analytics' stuff people are talking about? Struggle to know where to start? Worried that once you start, you will drown in a sea of data that you won't know how to use?

In this interactive Building L&D Skills session, we will explore how to find the story in the data to enable you to not only identify the needs of your organisation but deliver on the expectations of your stakeholders. You'll begin to see how you can provide a clear link between your solutions and the performance improvements that are required.

You'll leave more confident in your approach to learning analytics by:

  • Being clear about the uses of qualitative or quantitative data

  • Understanding when enough data is enough

  • Selecting appropriate methods for collecting useful data

  • Understanding how data can inform decisions and improve performance

  • Find the story in some data without even doing any maths
