As an emerging artist, finding a group of like-minded creatives can be a key part of regularly featuring in exhibitions

About this Event

As an emerging artist, finding a group of like-minded creatives can be a key part of regularly featuring in exhibitions. In this workshop, Marcus Nelson will identify and discuss the various steps one can take to form and organise their own artist collective; from forming a group identity to planning and executing your first exhibition, Finding Your Collective voice will provide you with the tools to work collaboratively to create opportunities.

Marcus Nelson is an artist and co-founder of the art collective Boys Don't Cry UK, a group raising awareness around male mental health within the creative industry. Comprised of around 30 artists, they have exhibited at a range of spaces across London including Candid Arts Trust, Karma Sanctum Soho, and the Camden People’s Theatre respectively.

This event is part of a series of events aimed at emerging artists running alongside the exhibition FBA Futures 2020
