Many children and young people, particularly if they have additional needs, sensory needs, situational mutism or anxiety can find school a difficult place to be. So many triggers build up throughout the school day and they let it out like an explosion at home.
It is NOT their fault! It is NOT your fault! Lets hear from Karen and Sara from Smart Bright Training about what could be going on and how support in school can make all the difference at home and how to communicate this to teachers.
Pinpoint are the OFFICIAL Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire providing help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.
Pinpoint have a dedicated part time staff team of SEND parent carers offering signposting and events for all things SEND and opportunities for parents to have a say and get involved in improving local services.
No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.
You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!
Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions - You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
