About this Event

Yn Chruinnaght presents a concert of Scottish music on highland pipes and guitar with world class Celtic musicians, Finlay MacDonald and Malcolm Stitt. Finlay and Malcolm are both members of Scottish band, Deaf Shepherd - a well-known Scottish band who recently reunited for a sell-out gig at Celtic Connections!

Finlay is Head of Piping Studies at the National Piping Centre in Scotland, and is an organiser of the Piping Live! festival. in Glasgow. He has recorded several solo albums and he plays with the Chris Stout Trio, Deaf Shepherd, piping supergroup Tryst and he has even played for Shania Twain!

Also hailing from Scotland, but now living in the Isle of Man, Malcolm has played guitar and bouzouki on over 50 albums and has recorded and toured with Boys of the Lough, Kate Rusby, Deaf Shepherd and many others.

There will also be a local flavour at the concert with Manx music from Ellan Vannin Pipes and Drums and dances from Skeddan Jiarg.
