Is Imposter Syndrome holding you back? In this session we'll explore the concept and how to develop strategies to combat it.
About this event
If you've ever questioned your abilities, talent and achievements then imposter syndrome might just be the cause. Did you know that big names like Serena Williams, Ariana Huffington and Lady Gaga all suffered from this?
Women are working their way into key roles across many sectors. However, one of the main barriers to success is how they view their skills and their role; often referred to as the Imposter Syndrome.
Commonly Imposter Syndrome is where we feel that we don’t deserve to be where we are or have what we’ve got. It often makes it difficult for us to take pride in our achievements convincing us that we are, in some way, a ‘fraud’.
In this session our speaker Mira Parmar will provide an insight into understanding Imposter Syndrome and whether it’s something which could be impacting you and holding you back. We’ll also explore how to develop strategies to combat it.
As per the previous FinTech Females session there will also be time to discuss your thoughts with others in small groups.
What you will get:
- An introduction to the topic
- The opportunity to chat with others in small discussion groups
- The opportunity to ask questions
- Suggestions on where to go for more resources
