Artist Bio

The Fiora Quartet was founded in 2021 at the Royal College of Music and has since become a dynamic and versatile ensemble. Mentored by the Sacconi Quartet from 2021 to 2023, the group was awarded second prize in the RCM String Quartet Competition and selected for the RCM String Quartet Platform scheme during the 2023/24 season. They were semi-finalists in the Royal Over- Seas League competition and chosen as Britten-PearsYoung Artists for a 2025 residency, supported by the Barbara Whatmore Charitable Trust.

In 2024, the Fiora Quartet performed at exclu sive events hosted by Van Cleef & Arpels at

Highgrove House, the private residence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. These

high-profile evenings brought together distinguished guests from across the globe to

experience world-class hospitality in an iconic setting.

The quartet has collaborated with renowned musicians such as the Brodsky Quartet,

Quartetto di Cremona, Rachel Podger, Nathan Braude, Daniel Rowland, Rafael Todes, and Mats Zetterqvist. Their notable performances include a side-by-side Shostakovich concert with the Brodsky Quartet and the Quartetto di Cremona showcase concert in 2023, and appearances at the Chipping Campden Festival, Snape Malting’s Britten Studio, the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh, Sacconi Festival in Folkestone, RCM Chamber Festival, and Super String Sunday (RCM’s annual live- streamed string festival). They have also participated in public masterclasses with the Chiaroscuro Quartet and Marmen Quartet. In 2022, the quartet was selected as one of three groups representing the UK in ANAM’s Quartetthaus event, a unique collaboration with the Royal Albert Hall.

The Fiora Quartet consists of two RCM graduates who are active in freelance work and

orchestral academies, alongside two current postgraduate students engaged in numerous external performances.
