He is a regular at online spoken word events and has headlined at Oooh Beehive and AccessAbility Arts Presents Spoken Word.

George facilitates creative writing groups for young people with Writing West Midlands and has co-run creative writing workshops for neurodivergent adults with Writing East Midlands.

He has spoken at events including The National Writers’ Conference at the University of Birmingham and The Cultural Exchanges Festival, De Montfort University in Leicester on disability representation and neurodiversity awareness.

George performed with the Word Weavers Collective at the 2025 Springboard Festival and was a finalist in the 2025 Ledbury Poetry Slam

Fire&Dust is a pay as you feel poetry open mic event.

Our 'Ko-fi' link, to keep the gigs going is here: https://ko-fi.com/fireanddustpoetry We believe that the arts shouldn't exclude on basis of income, but also that artists should be paid.

We want to keep the lovely poets and audience we've met since going onto Zoom in April 2020 - of course new faces and voices are welcome. We think it's important to keep poetry accessible to those who, for whatever reason, are unable to join our event at the LTB in Coventry UK on the regular slot of the first Thursday of the month, or who want a double helping of Fire&Dust.

All welcome - poets, performance poets, slammers, MCs and anyone happy to listen to some poetry. Bring poems, bring partners/housemates/pets, or just bring yourself along to listen and enjoy. Just don't bring hate.

The gig will take place via Zoom (a web-based video calling platform). In order to access this gig, you will need an internet connection and a computer or device with a microphone, headphones/speaker, and ideally a camera or webcam.
