About this event
We welcome you to join us for a beautiful sound bath experience with Cara. Take
some time for yourself, away from life's pressures and stressors, to immerse yourself
in the magic of sound.
The alchemy crystal bowls Cara will play are made of 99.99% pure crystal quartz
blended with precious metals, crystals and gemstones. This unique alchemy feature
adds a healing intention to the sound and vibrations, along with information from the
crystals that communicates with our system, adding another layer of subtle shifts and
transformation. The vibrations, frequencies and sound will take you through a deep
relaxation experience, reaching your body on a cellular level. Sound healing
promotes a greater sense of balance, calm, relaxation, and release.
About Brain Waves: typically, our brains operate at higher-frequency Beta waves
during wakeful consciousness, which is often associated with stress and anxiety.
The sounds and frequencies produced during the session promote a shift from these
Beta waves to Alpha and Theta waves. Alpha waves are linked with relaxed
awareness and creativity, while Theta waves are associated with deep relaxation,
meditation and mental clarity. This shift in brain wave activity may support healing
and facilitate deeper states of relaxation, well-being and reduced anxiety.
Cara has benefited from various forms of meditation since she started practising
yoga around 2005. She has since been on a journey of self-discovery and
acceptance using many therapeutic, spiritual, meditational and developmental tools
and modalities.
The Firepit is a unique and creative space, we have a gallery of beautiful and
relevant art, artist studio spaces and a community event space. We will hold the
sound bath in a slightly sunken room, surrounded by wood, red carpet and some
seating for those who would like to remain seated with back support (although we
highly recommend laying down to completely relax!).
Date and time - Wednesday September 17th Doors will open at 6.45pm, the sound bath will start promptly at 7pm and the door will be locked in order not to disrupt other attendees. We look forward to being with you.
Places are ticketed at £10 per person.
What to bring: We will invite you to lay down during the soundscape, so please wear
comfy clothing, and bring a blanket/throw and a cushion to support your head/neck.
You are also welcome to bring an eye mask for extra comfort.
Aftercare: Remember to hydrate well after the session, as this aids in processing
energy shifts you may experience.
The nearest tube is North Greenwich on the Jubilee line. We are a 5 minute walk
from the tube station, and we are located right by the Thames Clipper boat pier. You
can also find us on google maps - search for Firepit Art Gallery & Studios.
