About this event

Join us for an informative session on FireSafe, a free, referral-only fire safety intervention delivered by North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (NYFRS).

Designed for children and young people up to age 18 or up to 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) these tailored interventions are focused on safety, support, and understanding.

What to Expect from the Session:

  • An overview of the FireSafe intervention and its trauma-informed, non-scare tactic approach
  • Guidance on who is eligible and how to make a referral
  • A “show and tell” of the interactive resources our teams may use with children and young people
  • Information on our free Home Fire Safety Visits offered as part of the intervention for families

Our interventions are shaped by the individual needs and circumstances of each young person, with session content and frequency adapted accordingly.

If you're a professional working with young people wanting to learn more, this session will provide valuable insights into how FireSafe can help support fire safety awareness.
