Management of dental trauma in young children and adolescents can be difficult and have lasting long term consequences. Correct advise and management immediately post trauma can make a huge difference in the long term both with primary and adult teeth. Correct diagnosis, timely management and patient advice is essential. This course aims to give an overview of trauma management and how to manage the patient expectations.

Dr Noushin Attari qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital in 1996. Following a year as a house officer in Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry, she decided to pursue specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital.
Having obtained her MFDS, MClinDent in Paediatric Dentistry and MPaedDent in 2001, Noushin has since worked as a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry at Weymouth Street Paediatric Dental Care.
Noushin has been involved in postgraduate teaching at the Eastman Dental and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. She works closely with cardiac, oncology and other medical colleagues in the provision of dental care for those younger patients who may be receiving complex medical care. She has also been an invited speaker on Paediatric Dentistry at national and international conferences.
