Satoshi Nakamoto’s paper on bitcoin was written in only 2008. Bitcoin is now valued at $44bn. Vitalik Buterin who founded Ethereum 4 years ago, is just 23 years old. Ethereum is now valued at $31bn.

The pace of innovation in decentralised technologies including blockchains is accelerating faster than anyone had imagined. This extends both to some extraordinary underlying tech being built, but also to new models of funding, governance and indeed new theories of how crypto-economics is likely to change the way we live, transact and interact.
