First Aid Course for Professional Dog Walkers
As part of the Professional Dog Walkers Welfare Code, issued by the Government of Jersey, it is advised for professional dog walkers to be trained in dog first-aid.
We are excited to announce that the JSPCA is now offering a First Aid Course for Professional Dog Walkers. If you are not a professional dog walker, yet still wish to learn about First Aid in dogs, then you are also welcome on this course.
What will you learn?
- Recognising an emergency
- What to do in an emergency
- Preparing for an emergency
- Contents of Pet First Aid Kit and their usage
- Recovery Position
- Common situations for first aid, the clinical signs and what first aid measures to take
- How to check a dogs vital signs
- CPR
How much?£45. All of the funds raised goes to the JSPCA and the work we carry out.
How do I book?Classes are limited so it is a first come first served basis. Please book via EventBrite
Who is the course taught by and will I get a certificate?The course is taught by one of the JSPCA’s Registered Veterinary Nurses and a certificate will be provided at the end of the course to show your attendance and completion.
