First Aid Kit for Feelings - Cambridge
Sat 10 June 2017, 10:00 – 17:00 BST
What is a First Aid Kit for Feelings?
Ever heard the phrase ‘Stress makes you Stupid’. Did you know that when you are in a heightened state, the rational and resourceful part of your brain shuts down and that this is why you can end up doing stupid things.
A First Aid Kit for your feelings - both emotional and physical - works just like a normal First Aid Kit but instead of plasters and paracetamol, it is packed with things that are important to you like strategies, movies and photos.
The magic is that the First Aid Kit for Feelings is designed by you, for you!
Build your own First Aid Kit at this one day workshop where you get to learn in a fun and interactive way about:
- What happens in the body and brain that means it is often difficult to respond skillfully in stressful situations
- The purpose of emotions and symptoms - why are these feelings showing up in the first place
- Building your own First Aid Kit. What are the key components and why they are important.
- How to stop being critical about yourself and start getting curious about how you function and work best.
