First Aid Event
To ensure efficient take up of places, we ask that if you need to cancel a place after booking that you give at least two weeks' notice. If cancelled after this date and the place is not filled, then your Scout Group will be invoiced for the place. We hope you understand as places are limited.
This event is for Warwickshire Scout Volunteers.
First Response Course
The principles of first aid and initial response (arriving at and managing an incident)
Emergency life support (recovery position and safe airway)
CPR, including technique for adults and children
Choking
Causes and treatment of unresponsiveness
*Trauma and injury
Shock
Bleeding
Fractures and sprains
Head injuries
Dental incidents
Burns
*Major illness
Asthma
Anaphylaxis
Heart Attack
Stroke
Seizures
Diabetes
Sepsis and meningitis
Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate to some ‘role play’ on the floor.
Joining Instructions will be issued 2 days before the event.
There will be tea, coffee available during the evening.
