Those caring for a family member or friend may not always have the necessary skills to handle medical emergencies.

Accessing First Aid Training can equip you with the knowledge and confidence to respond to emergencies. You will learn how to assess the situation, communicate with emergency services, and provide first aid until help arrives.

By completing this FREE training, you can feel more prepared to handle medical emergencies.


An interactive first aid workshop run by experienced British Red Cross educators. It will help you to:

  • perform essential first aid skills using every day objects
  • build confidence and willingness to help in a first aid emergency
  • assess and manage risks to make informed choices when helping others

Time length: 90 minutes

The Red Cross will be conducting a training session in Birmingham specifically for Birmingham Carers. This training has been organized by the Birmingham Carers Hub.

This training is organised by Birmingham Carers Hub for Birmingham Carers and the training will be delivered by Red Cross.
