About this event

Business • Environment & Sustainability

Join this walking tour to get behind the scenes insight into London's largest food hub: New Covent Garden Market in London’s Nine Elms.

It's a unique site: with 37 acres of dynamic activity nestled in a London neighbourhood it's almost impossible to believe it's a key component of London’s multi-layered food system. And like the world and the city around it, it's changing. The site itself is navigating a significant transition in the form of a major multi-year redevelopment project.

What you'll gain

💡 A first hand view of a transformational change project in action. We'll explore the skills needed to negotiate change. We'll see how the market works as an ecosystem in its own right and how understanding and investing in relationships has created trust, space for creativity and the ability to navigate inevitable challenges together.

🔗 Exchange with like-minded professionals across industry, policy, advocacy, and education. Examine and compare perspectives on what skills are needed to drive action in your context.

🚀 Inspiration for your own learning & skills agenda, whether that's personal, organisational or place-based. We need new capability and capacity to face uncertainty and change. This tour, and the Open Learning demo day, shares ways to turn your places and projects into climate learning experiences, creating momentum and driving action.
