First steps in teaching primary languages
Overview
In Scotland, all learners are entitled to learn a language (L2) from Primary 1 onwards and a second language (L3) no later than Primary 5.
The aim of this in person workshop is to increase the confidence of teachers beginning to teach languages at primary level. Together we will:
- explore simple ways of incorporating taught languages into daily life in primary classroom
- hear from practitioners who will share examples of their practice
- signpost no and low cost language upskilling opportunities
Feel more confident to take language learning forward in your classroom or school.
The workshop will take place in-person at The Ramshorn, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. We will be in touch closer to the time with joining instructions.
