First Time Practice Educator's Training

What makes Occupational Therapy at Worcester special?

Occupational therapy provides support to people who are  facing challenges in living the life they want to live as a result of the effects of injury, disability or illness. A skilled occupational therapist can play a key role in helping people to regain, maintain, or improve their independence and participation in life in the face of challenging circumstances.

At Worcester we value safe, effective, ethical care, equipping students with the skills and experience they will need to support others to live the life of their choice. We have a strong focus on leadership running throughout the programme, helping students to develop both as a therapist and as a dynamic practitioner throughout their future career.

What makes Physiotherapy at Worcester special?

Physiotherapists enjoy a challenging and rewarding career, working with patients in a variety of settings, from intensive care to community care, helping those affected by injury, illness or disability to fulfil their potential and rebuild their life. Physiotherapy also plays an important role in injury prevention and health and wellbeing.

In addition to the knowledge and expertise students will need to be a first rate physiotherapist, at Worcester, students can study elements of leadership and business that will enhance their degree and help them develop their career. With our commitment to inter-professional learning, students will also gain experience working alongside Occupational Therapy and Nursing students, invaluable teamwork experience for anyone hoping to work in the modern inter-disciplinary health sector.
