Event description
This workshop looks at how we define academic writing and whether there are any generic aspects to it.

About this event

Dr Grace D Poulter is a senior lecturer in Academic Writing at Glasgow Caledonian University.  She is also an accredited IELTS examiner with many years of experience in teaching EAP to postgraduate students in the Scottish HE sector.

Developing your Academic Voice

Being able to describe what you are writing is important because it enables you to reflect critically on your style and to enhance it. Here we will provide you with a very basic vocabulary to be able to talk about the details of your writing and the means to discuss academic writing within the context of your own research.

Please note: This session will take place online, once you have signed up on Eventbrite you will be sent a link 24 hours before the event begins when registration has closed.

This workshop corresponds to the domains A and B of the Vitae Researcher Development Framework.
