Fishing for your well-being - June 21st
Event Information
About this event
Motivated by the loss of a close friend, these sessions are to introduce people to fishing and its benefits for mental health. You’ll learn basic techniques and you’ve got a great chance of that first fish. During the session you will be introduced to water craft (how to think like a fish), modern fishing tackle, successful baits, waterside safety and some fishy terminology so you can talk the talk.
My aim in this session is to get you casting accurately, striking effectively and landing and unhooking a fish safely all whilst relaxing and giving yourself some important downtime.
Fishing is an excellent way of relaxing and making time for yourself in an otherwise fast paced and often pressured life. I've knoiwn fishing my whole life and it's only in recent years that I've come to recognise the benefits it's given me and many friends through some tough times. It's not for everyone, but it might be for you. Why not come along and try it?
Under 18s
Anyone attending this event under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Thank you.
