Do you have a young person in your life who would love to learn to fish? Or perhaps a morning of peaceful outdoor activity would help their wellbeing?

Sign them up for a morning beside the Little Ouse River and a unique blend of outdoor adventure and space-themed exploration. Designed for ages 8–16, the event features supervised fishing sessions where participants experience fishing for local species like perch and roach.

This event is designed by Out-Space specifically to allow anyone aged 8-16 to have a go at fishing and build confidence in a new skill while feeling the therapeutic benefit of peace beside the river. The event also offers a good wildlife spotting, encourages outdoor play, scientific curiosity, and environmental awareness—all in one fun-filled morning. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect, learn, and explore by the riverside.

Booking Information: As this is an event designed for children, only children need places booked and accompanying parents do not need to book a place. However, all children taking part must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The Brecks Fen Edge & Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme is a new initiative delivering 24+ Archaeology, History and Nature focused projects that engage communities, schools and interest groups in understanding, conserving and celebrating the unique heritage of the Brecks' fen edge and river corridors.

The Scheme outputs will concentrate on the history and biodiversity of the river corridors and key fen edge and freshwater habitats within The Brecks, with the aim of delivering real understanding of water-based heritage and conservation issues, and positive conservation changes on the ground. This area encompasses a unique area in East Anglia with an incredible and much-overlooked landscape.
