Join geologists Stephen Thompson and Dr. Peter Hardy as they transport you back to the age of Carboniferous tropical seas. Discover clues about how the limestone at Uphill Quarry was formed, then take a walk to Uphill Beacon and Old Church of Saint Nicholas to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the Bristol Channel.

Distance to quarry is 100 metres. Optional walk to Uphill Beacon and church, approximately 1 mile which involves a total ascent of 200 feet over grassy slopes. Please wear sensible footwear and weather appropriate clothing. Booking Required. £8 per person. Café lunch optional (cost of lunch not included). Places are limited. Eventbrite limits maximum purchase per order to 1. You will need to make multiple bookings for groups of 2 or more people.
