Description
This workshop aims to give the participants an insight in theatre production, as well as trying out some basics in this area of the theatre-making process. The workshop will be lead by Laura Lindsay, an experienced player in self-producing small scale theatre, and Brian Hook, who runs a successful commercial production and touring company.
Laura Lindsay originally trained as an actor at Arden School of Theatre. She has since ventured into the world of writing and producing alongside acting and is currently touring Hidden (a play she co-wrote). Laura will share with you the process and challenges of self producing, including budgeting, programming a tour, marketing and PR. To get an insight into Laura's experience so far you may like to read her recent Guardian article: http://www.theguardian.com/stage/theatreblog/2014/mar/20/theatre-actor-producer-own-show
