About this Event
For first time and new parents, or those who have a recommendation from their health visitor, who have babies aged 6 weeks to 6 months.
Tickets to this workshop are free and spaces are limited – if you can no longer attend please cancel your space promptly to allow other families to access the workshop.
Please purchase you own Adult and Baby ticket, if a second parent/carer wishes to attend please purchase an Additional Adult ticket, this will ensure our group numbers are monitored correctly.
Over 4 weeks we will cover the 5 simple things to feed your baby’s growing brain.
Sessions will include ‘talk time’, ‘sensory activity’ & ‘singing time’
Week 1: Respond - Introduction to brain development, why sing to your baby, foot prints;
Week 2: Cuddle/Relax - The importance of touch, treasure baskets, relaxing with baby;
Week 3: Play - Making sense of the world, sensory play, making sensory bottles;
Week 4: Talk - The most important toy is you, talking with your baby, bubbles.
N.B. This workshop is open to all parents and carers of babies and children registered with a Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Health Visiting team.
