Ever had a toaster that just won’t toast or a washing machine that won’t drain? Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop where you’ll learn how to identify and fix common faults in everyday household appliances.
Led by makers and instructors Sean and Abdur, this 3-hour session will cover practical repair techniques for appliances such as toasters, washing machines, plugs, cables, and fuses. You’ll get to open up real appliances, learn how they work, and use professional tools to try out repairs yourself.
Whether you're looking to save money, reduce waste, or build confidence around DIY repairs, this workshop is a great place to start. All tools, materials, and demo appliances will be provided.

Suitable for ages 16+
All applicances will be provided, please do NOT bring faulty appliances for repair.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand safety procedures when opening and working on electrical appliances
- Replace a plug fuse and test for continuity
- Repair a damaged power cable using an in-line junction box
- Identify and troubleshoot common toaster faults including a faulty element
- Replace a washing machine water pump
- Learn basic multimeter usage for fault finding
