What

Got a squeaky brake you’re not sure how to fix? Or a broken chain? Dodgy gears? Or maybe just a puncture you’re not sure how to tackle….

Book your slot and pop down with your bike during our ‘Fix and Learn’ workshops, where we’ll show you how to identify and fix the issue. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary!

You will join us for a half hour 1:1 session where a Drosi mechanic will work with you to fix a specific issue with your bike, if we can't fix it in the half hour and it's a bigger job than you thought we will be happy to advise on the 'what next'.

Who

The session is open for anyone aged 8+ * - under 14’s require a supervising adult. After school slots are prioritised for youth sessions. You don't need any prior knowledge of bike maintenance to attend.

Cost

This programme is completely FREE to attend. We are very grateful to The National Lottery who fully fund this programme.

When

Running monthly – check out our page for other dates and times available.

We try to keep the 3pm onwards sessions (after school) for young people on a first come first serve basis, so if you can come early, please book an early slot. However, if you are working please feel free to book a time you can attend.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring my own bike?

Ideally, yes if you would like to try and fix something specific to your bike. But we do have a lot of second hand donated bikes here for you to use if need be.

Is there plenty of parking?

There is a number of free parking 1hr spaces nearby and directly outside, however the two car parks near by that are paid is the short stay at Market Street, and the long stay on East Street which is the closest paid car park.

Are there toilets?

Yes

Can more than one person come along to the session?

Yes, absolutely. Under 14's require a supervising adult, however we are happy to have more than one adult, but in half hour we would only have time to look at one bike/issue per half hour session.
