Laura Bates discusses her new book FIX THE SYSTEM, NOT THE WOMEN with host Terri White.

About this event

We're thrilled to be welcoming Laura Bates, author of Everyday Sexism and Men Who Hate Women , to Manchester to talk about her explosive new book FIX THE SYSTEM, NOT THE WOMEN - a rallying cry to reform the societal systems that are failing to protect women. Laura will be in conversation with Terri White.

Please note: This event is now being held at the International Anthony Burgess Foundation.

About the book:

Too often, we blame women. For walking home alone at night. For not asking – or asking forcefully enough – for a seat at the table. For not overcoming the odds that are stacked against them.

In this explosive book, feminist writer and activist Laura Bates lays bare the patterns of misogyny that harm and endanger us all. She exposes the systemic prejudice at the heart of five key institutions in our society.
