Get your bike checked and receive safety advice – for free with The Big Bike Revival
A Fix session (also known as a Dr Bike session) is part of The Big Bike Revival, a national programme from Cycling UK that offers free, friendly cycling support in local communities.
Whether your bike’s been gathering dust or just needs a quick tune-up, Fix sessions help you get back on two wheels safely.
What happens at a Fix session?
When you arrive at a free bike repair session, you’ll be greeted by one of the organisers – usually a local community group supported by Cycling UK.
You’ll be asked to sign in and give a few quick details about your bike: what’s not working, when it was last used, or any concerns you have.
Don’t worry if you’re not sure – our partners will take it from there.
At your session, an experienced mechanic will:
Check your bike for common issues
Carry out basic repairs and adjustments
Offer tips on looking after your bike
Let you know if anything else needs attention
It’s all free – just pop by with your bike, and we’ll do what we can in your 30-minute slot.
