‘What is Fizzy Coaching? This is a combination of a motor coordination programme called the Fizzy with an approach called Movement Coaching. (Fizzy was originally launched in Gloucestershire in 2008).

What is Fizzy? This is a graded and measurable activities programme in three stages -- beginners (level one), intermediate (level two) and advanced (level three). It works on three specific areas; balance, ball skills and body awareness. It is designed for children identified within schools who have co-ordination difficulties.

What is Movement Coaching?-  An analysis of movement using a problem solving framework to enable children to maximise their engagement with activities requiring co-ordination.

This training program is for staff who are  already using the Fizzy programme or who a new to it. It will combine the original activities and format with an understanding of movement coaching principles (similar to sports coaching). It also adds the agenda of transferring these movement coaching principles to activities in the classroom.’

Led by Mark Tudge of NHS-Gloucestershire Care Services.
