This regional celebration is ideal for any young person aged 7 or over who has been fishing a few times and is keen to learn more. This is ideal preparation for the National Celebration of Young People and Fishing and for anyone who would like to represent a country in the Global Communities Celebration event on Saturday 19th October 2024.

Cost of Event

This event is only £5.00 for all participants who attend on the day. However, if you have booked on, subsequently fail to cancel and simply don’t show up on the day, you are liable to be invoiced for the standard £50.00 administration fee, chargeable for each ticket booked.

Therefore, if your circumstances do suddenly change and you find you are no longer able to attend, you must cancel using one of these three mechanisms:

• 1 The preferred method is via the Eventbrite ticket booking system using the link that you can find on your ticket. This can be found at the bottom of your ticket and has a link directly to “cancel my ticket”.

• 2 By email lets.fish@canalrivertrust.org.uk giving details of date, time, venue and participants in your email message. Don’t email if within than 48 hours of the event, instead please use option 1 above or in an emergency 3 below.

• 3 In the event of an unforeseen emergency within 48 hours of the event, by telephoning the lead coach named in your final reminder email which will have been sent to you approximately 48 hours before the commencement of event.

We ask for your co-operation in this matter. This will allow others who would otherwise have regrettably missed out due to lack of space, the opportunity to attend this event.

Daiwa Global Communities Celebration 19th October 2024

Would you be proud to represent your country of your heritage in fishing? The Daiwa Global Communities Celebration is coming to the West Midlands. To represent any overseas community, in the October celebration, we are keen to hear from young people who can trace their ancestry (parents, grandparents or great grandparents) back to any of the countries on the globe.

Should you have connections with any country other than England, register your interest now by contacting mailto:john.ellis@canalrivertr ust.org.uk with your name, date of birth and the name of the country of ancestral origin.

Priority for participation will be given to those who attend the National celebration of Young People and Fishing.

National Celebration of young people and fishing

Each year, we hold a national celebration event open to all keen young anglers including all Let’s Fish participants aged between 7 & 20. It’s an experience that any young person should try at least once in their fishing journey. Check out our website for information on the event which will be held on the 14th & 15th September 2024 in the Midlands.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with the latest news and events.
