Flamenco Free Taster Class
Event Information
About this event
Instituto Cervantes in Manchester is organising a free flamenco taster class, with the teacher Christine Meadows, to introduce this dance, which is part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The class will be taught at two levels of difficulty:
11.00 - 11.45 am: Level 1: Learn flamenco with sevillanas.
12.00 - 12.45 pm: Level 2 and 3: Learn flamenco technique and dance a small choreography.
Christine Meadows is a qualified teacher of dance with over 30 years of experience. She danced with a flamenco cuadro at venues around the North West for several years, and she has been the Flamenco teacher here at the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester for more than seven years. Classes here are accompanied by an accomplished Flamenco guitarist, and the classes will give you the chance to try this amazing dance form and enjoy this exciting class. There is no requirement of ability, age or fitness, just enthusiasm, as students of all levels are welcome!
Registration is required to attend this free taster class.
