Join CIOB Hemel Hub as we take a look at Flanders Court which was constructed in 2009.

This site visit will consist of looking at the building's external façade comprises a combination of rendered masonry walls, timber cladding, and brickwork.

The current works form part of the developer's pledge to the government to remediate external wall systems in residential buildings.

Specifically, the scope of works involves opening the external walls to install cavity barriers at all horizontal and vertical junctions.


There will be opportunity to ask questions and this site visit is aimed at those who want to learn more about building defects.

PPE requirements for this site visit:

  • Hard hat.
  • High vis
  • Safety boots.

**Please bring your own PPE otherwise, you will not be able to attend the site visit on the day.**

Meeting point - Access is off the slip road for the A412 and we will meet at the front of the building.
