About this event

Across four workshop sessions, we will: explore how flash works, we’ll discover some of the best examples of it and peer into their machinery, we’ll master the art of structuring a short piece, and wonder at what world-building, characterisation, and drama might mean in such a small space. We will also investigate possible ways of publishing short fiction, if that’s one of your goals. Along the way, you’ll receive thoughtful feedback on your writing.

Each class will be 1.5 hours long, and will include some reading together and some quiet writing time. By the end of our four-week course, you will have developed and completed (I promise!) a short-short of your own.

Meetings: on Zoom

Cost: £50-£125, sliding scale, you choose what works best for you
