Event description
Come along to our lunchtime session with presenters Sarah Ash, John Hibbs and Annabel Hitchon no the subject of flexible working.

About this Event

There is plenty of research that supports the benefits of a flexible approach to working for both the employer and the employee. These benefits include optimum use of time and consequently better quality of work, a better work-life balance for employees, better performance/ productivity, greater job satisfaction, engagement and staff retention and a decrease in the carbon footprint.

This session will raise the question of how easy is it to implement flexible working in the work place and how can it work for different organisations’ particular business models.

Sarah Ash, Senior Counsel at Walkers (Guernsey) LLP will start the session by looking at types of flexible working, the advantages and practical issues and key legal duties for employers.

The session will then look at two local case study examples of how employers are approaching flexible working within their organisations in Guernsey. These will be delivered by Annabel Hitchon, Assistant Director, Human Resources, GFSC and John Hibbs, Director at PF+A. Both have successfully implemented very different but highly beneficial flexible approaches to working within their respective organisations.
