All are welcome to join us on the bay walk; however, you must be able to walk at least 8 miles comfortably. It isn't recommended for children under the age of 8 unless they are being carried by their parent/guardian.

Are there any breaks?

When we set off, we must move as one group. Walkers can spread out quickly, guides will help ensure everyone stays together. It is usual to stop twice during the walk, with well-deserved breaks throughout.

We recommend wearing comfortable trainers or walking boots. The walk features rocky, muddy, sandy, and wet terrain. Some participants will walk barefoot for part of the crossing. We also recommend a hat and suncream.

What are the safety precautions?

The walk will be supervised by experienced guides who have knowledge of key hazards such as quicksand and fast moving water channels. Please pay attention and follow their advice at all times.

The exact meeting location will be shared the month prior to the event.
